United Monument Works began in 1911 as McCutchen Monument Co. It was sold to and incorporated by Johnny and Janey Fowler, and James May in 1977. Robert and Tammy Barnett became the owners in 2004. Their son, John Barnett, and his wife Makenna took ownership in 2018. This building and business remains an integral part of the community in Union City, Tennessee.
